About WangMama
Translation by Profession. Storyteller by Passion. Mom by Day, Translator by Night.
Hello, and welcome to WangMama!
I’m the founder and lead translator behind this site. To my little one, I’m just "Mama" (Mom); but to the world of webnovels, I am WangMama.
Who am I? Before my life was filled with diapers and lullabies, I was a postgraduate student majoring in Translation Studies. I spent years analyzing the nuances of language, bridging cultures, and debating the perfect word choices in academic papers.
However, life has its own chapters. I am now a full-time mother, a role that is both exhausting and rewarding. But my passion for Chinese literature—specifically the adrenaline of Horror, the intricacies of Infinite Flow, and the deep emotions of Danmei (BL)—never faded.
Why this website? During my baby's nap times, I found myself returning to these stories. I noticed that many international readers were struggling with machine translations (MTL) that lost the soul of the original text. The suspense was broken by bad grammar; the romance was ruined by awkward phrasing.
I couldn't stand it. My translator's instinct kicked in.
I created WangMama to combine my professional background with my personal hobbies. I want to bring you translations that are not just readable, but faithful to the original tone and atmosphere. Whether it’s the spine-chilling tension of a thriller or the subtle sweetness of a slow-burn romance, I want you to feel exactly what the author intended.
My Promise I may not be a large translation group, but I pour my heart (and my degree!) into every chapter. This site is my sanctuary, and I hope it becomes yours too.
Thank you for reading, and welcome to the family.
